Amontillado is the original soundtrack from Thomas Cross’ 2018 short film of the same name, based on the short story The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe. In my second venture into the realm of electronic music, after the unreleased soundtrack for my short film Save the Cat!, I experimented with the combination of synthesizers and distortion to achieve the desired dark and ominous tone. The score is heavily inspired by the works of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross such as their soundtracks for The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl.

Silas Goodman was drawn to music at a young age, writing his first melodies at the age of 6. Born and raised in a small winemaking village outside of Lausanne, Switzerland, he was classically trained on piano at the Conservatory of Vevey and taught himself guitar.
